The Dropdown navtabs

Well Id like to present this drop down navtabs to you all just a few days before the beta release of Mys v1.3.0. I was able to integrate it with ACP with ease, and it should be working properly for admins to add/edit/delete links. The dropdown navtabs system will be quite useful as more and more features are added to the script.

It took me a while to complete this script though, it was the css that gave me the most trouble. Eventually I had to turn to Nyxi for help, and the result was pleasant. So what does it look like now? Here you go:

The ACP integration has been completed, and the below screenshots show you how to create a new navlink within a parent category:

Screenshot 2: Create a new link

Screenshot 3: Link created successfully!

Screenshot 4: Link now appears on site index

So thats pretty much it, and as I put it previously the usefulness of drop down navtabs will rise with time.

Unfortunately, it seems that we may not be able to complete a built-in forum script at this moment. Bloodrun's old forum script is noway to be found as Megaupload was seized by the government. I can create one from scratch, but this will take a long time considering I do not know how forum engines are supposed to work at this moment(though I am pretty good at using VB I must say XD).

However, I will find a way to make up for this if built-in forum indeed cannot be done for Mys v1.3.0. I have two possible options, the first one is to create a user blog system, the second is to make an official MyBB integration script. Id like to hear opinions from members here, and please lemme know what you think.

It all is looking very good, HOF! In regards to the forum, I think that an official MyBB integration script would be best. Hope all gos well!

I think maybe a forum script script made as a update would be nice. Personally I'm not found premade forums. I like a nice forum that is worked in to the layout not one I have to make a independent skin for. That said I would like the script before a forum because it can always be added later when you have more time. Heck maybe it could be a optional mod.

EDIT: Will this drop down option be easly be adapted to a custom layout?

@Abronsyth: Thank you for the comment, I guess I will go for a possible MyBB forum integration. Its not really difficult, just some tricks need to be played.

@Corsair: Yes it should. There is a css file called dropdown.css that you need to include in your template.html. I've programmed it in a way that the all you have to do is to write ':LINKSBAR:' and it will show up on any custom layouts. The issue is that the width may not match your need, then just edit the dropdown.css a little bit and you will be fine.

Just wondering wouldn't it be easier to have the nav css as part o the main css?

Personally, I just want to see the new script - I'm prepared to wait for the forum or any more options.

However, if you're asking for which one I would prefer, probably a forum integration.

I have to agree with Gloometh in this case I'd rather have the script over the forum. Any more features can always be added after in updates and mods.

I tried that, certain link definitions do not like to talk to each other...
