It's been a while since I updated you guys/gals for the last time. The development of Mys v1.3.2 is going smoothly, and right now I'd like to showcase a new feature added to this release. It is the adoptables shop, somewhat similar to an item shop but sells pets instead of items.
You may wonder what differences it makes from the old adoption center. After all, the adoptables pricing feature was available since Mys v1.1.3. Well, with this adoptables shop you can categorize your adoptables more conveniently. One centralized adoption center quickly become unbrowsable after you add about 20-30 species. This adoptables shop script can be more useful once an auction script becomes available. It is also a great tool for creating exploration system/pages.
Now lemme post some screenshots of how the adoptables shop works
the new ACP theme will not be available till Mys v1.4.0 though)

The adoptables shop Tiny Birds shows up in shop.php page. See a problem? Oops, we specified the shop status to be CLOSED!

You can manage an existing adoptables shop in ACP, here we are changing the shop status of Tiny Birds to OPEN so we can buy pets.

Now we are inside the adoptables shop called Tiny Birds. Two bird adoptables are available, you only need to press the buy button to complete the transaction.

Transaction completed, yay! Note you wont be as lucky as I am if you run out of money, so be careful.

At the very last, I am relieved to know that the Spearow is now available in myadopts.php page, everything is doing just fine.
It is worth noting that the adoptables shop is compatible with adoptables conditions system. For instance, if you specify the available date for an adoptables to be available is on June, 30th 2012, it will only show up in adoptables shop on that particular day. From now on the adoption center will only show pets available for free. For paid pets, you need to create adoptables shop for them to be obtainable by your users. Of course Promocode is another way, but its only recommended for very special pets.
The adoptables shop feature will be available to users together with the release Mys v1.3.2. Since it will still be a few days till Mys v1.3.2 is released, I am open to suggestions from all of you on what you want to change from the current adoptables shop. One thing I can think of is to enable pets of different levels to be purchased instead of at lv.0 only. I am also wondering whether to enable multiple pets to be purchased at same time. Renaming adoptables upon transaction is another possiblity. Lemme know what you think if you believe these changes should be made. Note the feature of selling adoptables is not planned, since it will interfere with pound and trade system.
