Now here a problem that haunt me.

What is a good click level? If you let it to low will it be to easy? If you set it to high will it cause problems with cheating. Hear me out now I know in MA they wanted you to set the clicks really (in my opinion absurdly) low. question is what is the perfect balance?

I want my site to be both easy to use but not absurdly easy. After all isn't the idea to have people click o your adopts and is what you get? I'm afraid if I set the clicks to low thing will get boring. After all what's the fun if you adopt is fully grown in one day.

I think this completely depends on the popularity of your sites? On Pokemansion, it takes 10 clicks to hatch but 90 clicks to reach lv.20. To achieve ultimate goal of a lv.100 pokemon, your adoptable must receive at least 2000 clicks. It becomes increasingly to level up once your pet is at higher level. I'd advise you to make good use of the level system, since it technically has no limit.

I think it can really depend on the site. For mine I know the small short lived birds have numerous stages with a small amount of clicks needed, only 50-75. That way people can see immediate results but it takes time to reach adulthood. The longer lived species I am thinking to set it to about 150 clicks to reach adulthood and more for the really big birds.

It can sometimes make sense to make it easy to see immediate results at first but to make it really hard to get the really high/special levels.

When your site starts out I'd suggest a low amount of clicks needed to get an adult and when it starts getting more popular increase the amount of click needed to get an adult. Maybe when the site first starts 15 to hatch/grow to an older stage, and then up to 100 to become an adult? (I skipped other stages because I didn't know all the stages you have for your pets on your site)

I would do:
10 -hatch
20/25 -baby
50 -adoloscent
70/80 -adult

o_O

Chibi has just admitted she comes from MA. XD yeah that's what MA's standards would be. I think a decent amount is about double that.

However just a thing, this also can depend HIGHLY on the activity of your site. As it starts off you may want to start a little lower, then as activity picks up, start raising the click levels gradually, especially if there are alternate ways to level up an adoptable, like some rumored items in item shops... >.> You didn't hear that from me. XD

lol Kaeliah you are indeed hinting them a lot. XD But yeah, alternative levelup methods can be made beyond the scope of levelup items, we can surely discuss this possibility someday, but not right now.

Kae, you make me sound like I'm admitting to a crime o_O Lol, and yeah, the click levels I suggested are for when your site just starts off, but you may want to raise click levels when your site grows more popular :3

On the site I run, it's 20 for the second level and 50 for the first... it's a small site, and people aren't extremely ambitious about getting clicks, so I think that works out for me.

Chibi's numbers are the most reasonable, I'd say. ^^

:OHSHITALION: No, Chibi it's just those are MA standards which tend to be lower. ^.^ I was just playing.

Edit: I'm actually going to move this thread, it should go in Adoptable Buzz rather than Questions & Support.
