Hello! I've been working more on the adoptable art of my site and I was wondering what the general view on sizing is. All adoptables will be the same size, just fitted to that. I'm currently thinking 300×300 but need to actually upload pets to test it XD

So yeah! Your opinions? :3 What kind of sizes do you use for yours? What have you found works best?

I'm going to use 400x300 since, if I wanted to use backgrounds, my adopts would be floating in their "environment" if I kept cutting the canvas down to only take up as much space as the adopt lol.. My biggest adopt is around 300x200 (i think). I guess it can sort of depend on how you want the layout to be. If you're looking for something simple, you can aim for smaller sizes (dragcave has pretty small images), if you want to show off more detail then you can aim for larger sizes (lioden uses 600x500 or something like that.)

Oh OK that's fair! XD I was aiming to do a square as it's a neat number that every adopt can follow XD And because I draw all adopts by hand first then take a pic on my phone to trace on the computer so I resize it first to 800×800 and then once the final adopt is coloured in I change the size once more to 300×300. It's a bit or work but I fit more detail in that way and they luckily don't lose any quality during the resize! XD

It's interesting hearing others opinions on sizing.. I suppose it does depend on what site you wish to offer!

(And I would love backgrounds eventually but I need to get up the urge to install and make Hwona's 1.3.3 mod work for 1.3.4 XD Luckily people have commented so I have a pretty solid idea lol)
