The future of Mysidia Adoptables:
With the release of Mys v1.3.0, the development of this script has officially moved onto another stage. The majority of Programming flaws from Rusnak Adoptables and older versions have been resolved from Mys v1.2.3 to Mys v1.3.0(The usage of $GLOBALS may still be a problem, and we will take care of that later). Throughout the course of Mys v1.3.x's lifetime we will be building up our own standards of programming. The most important task is to create basic classes such as Database, Adoptables, Users, Tables, Forms, Items, Shops. The new coding patterns may prove to be a problem for some aspiring Mod creators, but these will help in a long run.

If everything goes according to plan, the script will mature up in Mys v1.4.0 and there will be no need to overhaul any existing features from that moment on. It will be much more object-oriented, and maintaining/expanding the script will be a lot easier and more convenient. Though the development of Mys v1.4.0 is unlikely to begin until at least late April, several important projects have been proposed for the future release. A good example is adoptables stats/elements system, which I had in mind a long time ago. The one I am going to talk about here is the ACP overhaul project.

The ACP overhaul Project:
The current ACP is bad in a way that many root admins would rather use phpmyadmin instead of ACP to make a change. The ACP exists for a reason, and we've gotta make it more powerful so that it is not necessary to use Phpmyadmin except for extremely important tasks like add/remove tables/columns. The new ACP will also give much more controllability over the site, instead of just the basics we currently have.

A few days later I will be posting a thread about it with the preview of ACP layout. We'd like to collect ideas on what aspects of the site admins want to control. Looking at the control panel of softwares like Joomla, Wordpress and MyBB actually provides some interesting ideas. But anyway we make this script for our supporters and members, so it is important to know what they want the ACP to look like.
