Not sure if this is the appropriate place.
I just wanted to say that I hope you all are doing well, and I'm glad to see familiar faces. I've missed you all very much.
I'm an older user who used to run a fuzzy caterpillar-themed site using Mysidia. Unfortunately, life became so busy/demanding that I simply couldn't keep up. The site crashed unexpectedly one day, and I couldn't figure out how to get it back up.
It's been literal years, and I've learned a lot more coding (mostly other languages), worked on many other projects—though few as exciting as pet sites.
It honestly gave me a much deeper appreciation of the amount of work that was put into this framework over the years. I guess "rolling your own" does that to you. This was the community/project that really got me into coding + art + writing, and I'll forever be grateful for that. Caterpillars and lore continue to live on, albeit in a very different form.
Oddly enough, one of my more recent projects (which was completely unrelated) somehow turned into a pet site, and all the old memories came flooding back. Came to see how the Mysidia community is doing. I'm not developing using Mysidia at the moment, but I'm having a much easier time understanding what some of the components are doing under the hood. If anyone needs any help, I'd be happy to poke around!
You have had a bigger (positive) impact on my life than you could possibly know.
