Is this the end of Mysidia?

NO fear mongering meant with this..

However I'm sure we've all noticed Hall of famer is nowhere to be seen.. and hasn't been for ages.. So it makes me wonder if he's okay.. if he's no longer going to update the framework so there won't be a 1.4.0...

I don't think he realizes how much we need him, how much his presence is important.. how we need his help. How hes not answering messages.. how hes just not here anymore... makes me wonder if the site might go down and I need to think about moving?

Hes the only one who can get into the host site... so what if I get banned again??

Its worrisome to say the least..

Very concerned for HoF in particular and for Mysidia in general.

It's been a really, really long time since there was any active participation here with him ..

Is he alright? Really Alright? Maybe .. just kind of done here?

We don't know, and I am sure a lot of us are worried.

I do know that HoF does work on this project in spurts. We won't hear from him for a few years and then a new version is suddenly dropped. It has been a pattern for the 15 or so years I've followed this project. I am hoping this is the case currently. I was young when I began here, but I'm getting older, and I hope I won't be so old I can't continue with my dreams by the time this framework is in its final state.

I do suggest learning how to use a localhost like WAMP server (or alternative) to develop locally, get an FTP program like Filezilla (or alternative) to upload tested changes, and get your own hosting. These days monthly costs of web hosts are a lot cheaper than back in the day. I host my own, I always wanted to have more full control over what I do and when .. I don't remember not hearing from HoF here for years, and I have been here I guess since 15 years ago -- 2010 -- but I may have missed stuff. And I was gone at times myself for several months.

All I remember is he always was around if messaged, or someone posted to him.

What I think we need most of all, is his help on many things. I host my own but boy there are things we need help on


We will have to just wait and see I guess.

Sorry for not being active the last few months. Nope this is definitely not the end for Mysidia Adoptables, though unfortunately I will still be busy in foreseeable future. Once things settle down a bit I will share the plan for future.

I can offer to help monitor and remove spam here, I just don't have the access to remove it. Totally up to you of course! But we're getting some bad stuff at times. I work at home and I am on most of the day. I wouldn't mind at all

If necessary I can give you permission to remove spams. Usually these things are handled by forum moderators, but lately I've been reserved when it comes to promoting forum moderators. For some reason each time I promoted one from this community, the user who became moderator became less active and eventually disappeared. Perhaps it is a cursed role on this forum, but I dont know.
